I am very excited about including an Alumni Choir in my final concert before retirement on Sunday, May 20, 2012 (4:00 PM) at Ascension Lutheran Church.

We will have very little rehearsal time since so many of you are away at college until right before the concert. I plan to be ambitious and include the Mozart "Regina Coeli." We sang this 8 minute piece with the Mainzer Domchor both in Thousand Oaks and in Germany. It includes a quartet of soloists.

We will also sing Z. Randall Stroope's "Inscription of Hope" and Copland's "Zion's Walls." All the choirs will join together for Rutter's arrangement of  "Every Time I Feel the Spirit" and "The Lord Bless You and Keep You." Of course, everyone will also sing "Dream A Dream."

All those who are able will have a rehearsal on Saturday, May 12 (6-8 PM).

This rehearsal and the one on Friday, May 18th will be held at Westlake United Methodist Church located at the corner of Westlake Blvd. and Hampshire/Agoura Roads.

Everyone will need to attend the rehearsal on Friday, May 18 (7-9 PM) and the dress rehearsal on Saturday, May 19 (10:00 - 1:00).
